Disappointing. Mould on the walls, window frames and window ledges. One window had a one inch gap between frame and glass that was stuffed with tissue. No drying facilities as advertised. Porch door does not lock.Property not as described and certainly not luxury. I have photos as proof.

We enjoyed our stay and the cottage has been decorated and kitted out better since 2010, so do not go by those reviews. It is not 5 star hotel standard, but it was clean and homely which is what we like. I'm not sure I would want to stay at the cottage in winter, as I'm used to double glazing and central heating, though there are storage heaters and you can have an open fire in the lounge. At the end of August we did not use any heating. The best things about the cottage are the views and the coastal walks.

Very disappointed. 1 stairgate for 2 flights of stairs. Should have 4 stairgates. Uneven block paving in courtyard, trip hazard. Extremelly filthy BBQ, not fit to be used. Loose light switch and bannister. Loose spacers in balcony so thet spinsters can be moved. Unsafe balcony, easy to climb over by children. Sttep concrete steps in garden. Uncovered drain. Gap between doors and balcon, trip hazard. Damp and musty smell down stairs. Cracked sink. Lawn mower left in back garden. Not child or dog friendly. Barely fit 1 car on drive. Anxious about parking ticket. Got one.

We stayed at Wayside to celebrate our Mum's 80th birthday. We were extremely impressed by the property - very clean and equipped to a very high Standard. The attention to detail was impeccable.
All in all a very delightful 3 nights stay. mostenjoyable.

Yet again another fantastic holiday was had by all. The Cottage (Magpie) was excellent, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The facilities Willowfield Lake have are also excellent and very safe for children. Terry and Wendy are the perfect hosts, they make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
We can’t wait until next year!

A lovely welcome awaited us and we immediately felt at home. The whole experience of Great Gutton is very relaxing in a beautiful seting. The hayloft itself is everything you could hope for and provides everything you would require including control of the all important heating if your going out of season. I would reccomend this to anyone and definately look forwaed to staying there again
