The cottage is warm and welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to cook in and the lounge is spacious and comfortable. There is a handy downstairs loo and a big bathroom upstairs with a good shower. Beds are very comfy. We found the welcome package waiting for us and absolutely loved our stay. Food at the main hotel was very good and the staff and all the local people were very warm, friendly and helpful. Most places are dog friendly and all in all we could not find a single fault😁

Hendra is ideally situated close to the harbour giving a short walk to the ferries and excursion boats. Also handy for the Hugh Town shops and Town Beach. Dogs are allowed which is one of the big reasons why we chose it.
We liked:
the location
the decor
the layout downstairs which felt adequately spacious for four adults and a dog
the kitchen layout and equipment
the comfortable lounge furniture and beds
the well-appointed bathroom and hotel-style miniature bottles of toiletries
the luxuriously large bath sheets
the cream tea on arrival
the flowers
the friendly, helpful receptionists and Nick, the manager.
We didn't like
The large coffee table which was too big for the room.
the way the TV kept going blank
the steep (and I mean REALLY steep) stairs up to the bedrooms and bathroom.

Very good place. Perfect location for islands. Good facilities. One toilet wasn't working - took them over a week to fix, but getting plumbers and parts isn't easy on the islands.
