
Poole has one of the largest natural harbours in the world and is very popular for watersports. You can go sailing, windsurfing and kayaking around the harbour area and the shallow waters and sheltered bays make it ideal for boating and exploring the coves and inlets. Have a go at stand up paddleboarding, it is great fun and an ideal way to explore the harbour area. If watersports are not your thing, then the beaches around Poole are brilliant. The famous Sandbanks beach is a Blue Flag beach with a long stretch of golden sand, home to the rich and famous with luxury homes backing onto the fine sand. The Quay is the focal point of Poole’s historic waterfront, there are lots of Georgian buildings lining the quay with some great pubs and really good seafood restaurants.
Poole is a great place to visit for a family holiday and there are some amazing holiday cottages and holiday homes in Poole, around the beaches and the villages nearby.
