The surrounding area offers complete peace and quiet (at least during our stay which was in September) There is also use of a heated outdoor swimming pool (Easter-Sept) and direct access to the coastal footpath. The surrounding grounds are adjacent to Lyme Regis golf course. This apartment has been well set out for it's guests, (tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival), being clean, modern and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay. The apartment is set in a block of 3, this one being in the middle. It was warm and noise free at all times. We found the apartment virtually fault free with many helpful touches left by the owners. All fixtures and fittings are of good quality and my only small issue was the sofa which I found uncomfortable, but that is personal choice. This complex is ideally suited to walkers as the coast patch passes right passed the hotel entrance, tourists who like to use the bus as the coastal service ( Exeter - Bournmouth ) stops right outside the door or the car user who wants a central base to visit Charmouth / Lyme Regis and all the surrounding joys of this area. We didn't use the hotel facilities but all looked welcoming. Swimming pool was nice but closed as out visit was in September. Crazy Golf was permenantly closed and a bit run down. Charmouth is within easy walking distance but uphill coming back. Lyme Regis is more of a challenge. For the more daring a walk to Golden Cap is a treat. For serious walkers the undercliff from Lyme Regis to Seaton is recommended but takes 5 - 6 hours and is described as strenuous. We didn't have time to complete but we will definitely be returning to Fernhill Heights at sometime in the future. Highly recommended.
