Description of the cottage holiday
Preston House Barn is one and a half miles from Moreleigh and about three quarters of a mile from the river Avon (lovely wooded riverside/valley walks), a fine, 16th cent. manor house wing and a detached, Grade II listed, stone threshing barn, superbly converted, full of light, good quality fittings, most modern of kitchens. The barn has its own private enclosed sun terrace and garden; both have use of a half acre paddock for games, dog walking etc. Preston House Barn near Moreligh is a detached barn that has an entrance through glazed atrium to hand-carved, gently curving oak stairs (stairgate) up to open-plan first floor and stunning living/dining/kitchen with oak floor, huge oak beams and vaulted ceiling. The well-equipped kitchen has dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer, wine-cooler, electric range-style cooker and breakfast bar; galleried dining area; and, at the far end, living area with woodburner, TV/DVD/Blu-ray and door to south-west facing sun terrace/garden (gas barbecue, garden furniture). Downstairs, three bedrooms including a double bedroom with en suite bathroom (wet-room suite plus hand-shower and separate shower), another double (5' bed) with adjacent shower-room (suite), and a twin with en suite shower-room (suite); all bedrooms are pretty with fine white linen.Sleeps: 6
