The location is great. All the rest disappointing! Lack of heating in the kitchen makes it a health hazard (sub-zero temperatures guaranteed). On our first day we got bitten by a flea (it's a pet friendly property). The owner (Russell) is the rudest landlord we've ever come across. Although we left the cottage tidy and clean, he sent us, on new Year's Day, an abusive text saying: 'thanks for leaving such a f** mess!'. We reported him to 'enjoy England' and to other fori. If you are a dog and/or White British, this is a great place! If not, then stay at Curlew cottage at your own peril (one of us who received the abusive text is not White British).
