Springfield is the major part of a Victorian villa, with five bedrooms, ideally situated in a peaceful tree lined road in an elevated position overlooking Torquay, yet only a short walk (500m) to the town centre, harbour, seafront theatre, restaurants and principal beach.The property had a complete renovation in 2013 to a very high standard and has been updated throughout whilst retaining many of the original features of this fine period home. The vast open plan kitchen and dining room boasts granite worktops, solid oak floors and is fully equipped to cater for a large family with an American style fridge freezer, range cooker and ample space for entertaining.The large sheltered, private and secure patio areas are perfect for al fresco dining or barbeques, accessed from both the living room and kitchen. It features a sunken hydrotherapy spa overlooking the landscaped walled garden and children's play area. The spa with waterfall, iPod docking station and mood lighting is adjacent to the games room with views and clear sight of the play area.

Torquay harbourside is fringed with a wide range of restaurants, tourist attractions and frequent boat trips to Brixham, Dartmouth and Greenway House, Agatha Christie's former holiday home.Cockington Country Park with its pretty thatched cottages, artisan workshops and arboretum; Paignton, with its award winning Geopark and cinema; Kents Cavern underground caves and Living Coasts coastal zoo are all very near and easily accessible.

This property especially welcomes families. A cot and high chair are provided for younger guests and there is a games room with table football and an outdoor children's play area with soft play bark.

Cottage Review:   The house itself was lovely although was some issues, the bunkbeds were very loose and rickety although being warned about the driveway one of us drove a 4x4 still ended up danaging the front on the car and the second car scraped the pavement which caused the engin management light to come on. We were there as a hen party group which the owner was aware of.. on the friday evening we had music on in the garage as we were playing games and having drinks save dirtying inside the house, at approximately 9.15pm there was a man banging on the garage door shouting and swearing at us to turn down the music and go and and face him, we were a group of women were not going to answer the door to an aggressive man, this had a few of us really shook up and the bride to be very distressed. We called the owner of the property and he had no interest what so ever in our issue ,the fact that our evening had been ruined by an angry neighbour, had no concern over the fact 2 cars had been damged very unprofessional. At no point were we told not to play music. The hot tub had a film of scum on top and the filter was clogged with leaves and dirt from the trees over hanging the tub.also about half of the jets worked. As i say nice housebut let down by a few issues. So if your wanting to make any noise,need to use all the beds or want to use a hot tub i would stay elseware.
