Description of the holiday cottage
An elegant home from home in beautiful Kingswear, Marina View offers a bright and comfortable living space, and with a private balcony you’ll never be more than one step away from the sight of the South Hams countryside in all its glory. The balcony offers panoramic views across the sweeping countryside, over to Dartmouth and right round to the mouth of the ever-busy River Dart.
There’s a light, airy feel throughout Marina View and there are two large bedrooms, both with double beds, and feature fireplaces. The master bedroom has the advantage of a brilliantly placed, enclosed balcony with a table and chairs overlooking Kingswear marina, so guests can sit back and just enjoy the scenery.
Kingswear stands on the east bank of the River Dart, close to the estuary entrance and opposite the historic sea-faring town of Dartmouth. It is famed in the nautical world for its privately owned marina and for being a sailing hub for all ages and abilities.
The village is an active community and offers a year round ferry service across the river, a village store selling local produce, several inns, a post office and home of the Royal Dart Yacht Club.
The popular Blue Flag beaches in Torbay are just a short drive away, as are the brilliant family days out at Woodlands Theme Park and Paignton Zoo.
