What can I say!
Just read the negative review from 2009 and was absolutely astounded.Just couldn't believe we stayed at the same cottage. I almost expected the owners to be held accountable for the midges and unpredictable weather!!!! The owners description of the cottage in our opinion was spot on. The views from the cottage ARE exceptional and the tranquility of the location makes this a very special place indeed. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and went out of their way to making our stay very enjoyable. The cottage has excellent facilities and the location can't be faulted. OK the path down to the loch is steep but treat it as part of the adventure. Put on your boots take care and you will not be disappointed - this is the highlands after all. The surrounding area is superb with everything one could wish from a holiday in the highlands. So much stunning scenery on the doorstep and loads more beyond with some of the wildest places in the uk together with superb beaches friendly locals and a typically atmospheric village in Ullapool. All in all a fantastic experience and judging by the visitors book at the cottage plenty of repeat and very satisfied visitors.

This is such a cute, comfortable cottage. We booked it on the net and did not know what to expect but absolutely loved it. Best views, loved the remoteness, hiking, everything. Would love to go again. Worth travelling from Australia.

We booked this cottage through holiday rentals because of the very extensive excellent reviews that had been collected by past guests. We were a little cautious as all the reviews were glowing however we have just stayed in this immaculate wonderfully comfortable holiday house in Glencoe and concur with a the rave reviews, I would just say this KInloch lodge is simply an outstanding property , graded as a 5 Star doesn't to be honest do this beautiful house justice, both immaculate, very very high standard and beautifully appointed in every way, more importantly very warm and cosy with every conceivable luxury, only mins from the local village and pub and right on the door step to a world of things to do from island hoping to sking, good resturants are also only mins away and good pubs with live music, we are going back in October just booked again with Tony, his wife and him own four 5 star properties don't look else where, defiantly no need to these cottages are outstanding in every way

This was an excellent self-catering accommodation, occupying the ground floor of a "2-storey bungalow". We were a little surprised to find out that there were long-term tennants living on the first floor - but they caused no inconvenience whatsoever. Our accommodation was of an excellent standard - all the rooms were very clean, very well decorated, in very good condition, and very well furnished and equipped with everything you could think of. Even down to a quality pair of binoculars and a bird watching telescope for watching the wildlife on the adjacent loch. The bungalow has fantastic views looking out over the sea loch, and over the mountains in the distance with fantastic sunsets in good weather. We met the owners and they were very pleasant and chatty. The only slight critiscism is that the outside was a little bit scuffy and not well kept. I would deduct half a star for this, but I can't, so I will give it 5. Overall a lovely accomodation, definetly recommended. In a very peaceful rural location witn fantastic views but still only 5 miles from shops and restaurants.
