Bight Boathouse in Dartmouth, within 400 yards of fine restaurants, shops and pubs, two stunning waterside homes smartly converted from buildings that once made up the historic Bight Boatyard. Both offer spectacular views over the river Dart and out to sea and access (steps) to the estuary below from a hardstanding (storage area for small dinghies/kayaks/canoes, shared with other residents). An outstanding waterside location within an easy stroll of Dartmouth s centre. Unsuitable for young children or those with limited mobility (please discuss suitability with us if you are unsure); care needed at all times on terraces, balcony and in waterside areas (unguarded drop to water).Bight Boathouse: a spacious detached home set high on the riverbank with panoramic views up and down river and own private indoor heated swimming pool (29 x 13 x 3 to 6 deep) sauna, hot tub and poolside gym. Clever layout over three levels with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors gives ever-changing water views from most rooms, with the lower floor living area opening to a sun terrace (tables/chairs, barbecue; wall height 33 ) for al fresco dining and upper floor bedrooms opening to verandah-style balcony (seating); both are superb elevated spots (please note, considerable drop below) to while away lazy days watching the passing river life below (lift and steps down to shared hardstanding and your own running mooring (local boat hire or bring your own - max. 13 , river dues payable locally, nearest launching 1 mile). From parking area, steps (17) down to front door to entrance lobby; hall with wide spiral staircase (care needed, open treads/handrails) down to large split-level, open-plan living/dining room with magnificent views, big sofas, TV/Sky/DVD, pool table and glazed doors to terrace; second living room/snug (TV/video, huge video library, Wii). Spacious kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, freezer, larder fridge, ceramic hob/two ovens) with breakfast bar/8 stools. From living area, more spiral stairs down to lower ground floor lobby (pinball machine, arcade games - extra) and door (lockable) to swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and gym area (use of equipment by over 16s only) with poolside seating, changing area, shower and loo; small games room (table tennis).
