Spacious, attractive and well equipped, 3 bedroom end-terrace cottage. Small garden with nice area for sitting out under the westerly evening sun in summer, overlooking fields.

Cottage Review:  

We stayed at grange end for a weekend get away with our 1 year old girl. The Cottage was perfect, really well kept with great charachter & everything you could need for your stay. Cark is really quiet & all the people we met were friendly in the Engine pub in the village, great food also! We had heard the legend of the village shops famous sticky toffee pudding, so we gave it a go... again, couldnt ask for better! There was plenty to do within half an hour drive either way including a spot of fell walking up the coniston old man. All in all an excellent weekend & a top class cottage.

Cottage Review:  

The cottage is most attractive and well appointed with a good kitchen and spacious living area. The bedrooms are very comfortable.

Only one bathing and toilet facility was sometimes a slight issue, but was fine for a family of 4 on holiday.

The location was excellent for access to the South Western Lake District and walks to the local beach on Morecombe Bay. Cartmel, 2 minutes by car, is absolutely delightful with exceptional restaurants and specialist food shops.

Cark, itself, is a lovely old village. The local Londis convenience store is only a minutes walk away, along with local pubs. Overall, an excellent choice, for a slightly different location, on the Southern edge of the Lake District.

Cottage Review:  

This holiday cottage is full of olde world charm and is a wonderful, cosy place to stay after an active day. If you're into food the location is perfect with many good pubs, restaurants and shops within a ten minute drive. If you love walking even better as Cartmel is a pleasant half hour (ish) walk through the woods. The local pubs are within a couple of minutes, perfect for a cheeky pint. It's a good central location for days out with the lakes and the coast within easy distance. The main garden is accessed via steps and is compact but a lovely spot for some afternoon lunches. I'd definately return with my new pup Rev.
