Exceeded expectations - fantastic house set in beautiful grounds. This was a perfect option for a large family gathering, lots of space to avoid being on-top of each other but large communal areas allowing the whole family to be together. The bedrooms were great and most had on-suite facilities which made life easier. The house smells of history and has a sense of grandeur and character. There is a definite home from home feeling (give or take the odd 10 rooms, grounds bigger than my local park and a en-suite nearly the same size as our lounge) due to the f |

This was my 60th birthday gathering so age ranges from 20 to 85 no children. The owner was friendly and welcoming and happy to talk about its history. The house was large enough to give us all space and enough entertainment to keep a range of ages occupied.bedrooms were clean and spacious with enough linen. in the lounge it was lovely to sit around the fire although furniture was well worn. There was an audio system for games room and lounge. The kitchen was well supplied with cutlery and crockery we used local outside caterers "Ronnie" and they were happ |
