Cottage Review:

A very disappointing stay at Firm Anchor. Considering the premium price we paid and the fact that we couldn’t check in till 4pm, due to enhanced cleaning with Covid the house was dirty and poorly maintained. We found ourselves cleaning the kitchen and all the dishes were dirty and many were marked, chipped, etc. Bedding and towels have seen better days and were stained. Hairy toilet on arrival! We had to play catch the water leaks from the upstairs shower and the dishwasher! We checked the visitors book to see if anyone else had shared our experience and it was devoid of any reviews this year!! The house is tired and needs cleaning and maintaining! We also parked our cars on the driveway and both were overhanging as a big wooden shed has been erected at the front of the building!

Very disappointed. 1 stairgate for 2 flights of stairs. Should have 4 stairgates. Uneven block paving in courtyard, trip hazard. Extremelly filthy BBQ, not fit to be used. Loose light switch and bannister. Loose spacers in balcony so thet spinsters can be moved. Unsafe balcony, easy to climb over by children. Sttep concrete steps in garden. Uncovered drain. Gap between doors and balcon, trip hazard. Damp and musty smell down stairs. Cracked sink. Lawn mower left in back garden. Not child or dog friendly. Barely fit 1 car on drive. Anxious about parking ticket. Got one.

Make up of party:  4 adults, 1x 16yr old, 1 x 7yr old, 2x 3 yr olds, 1x 16months toddler and 4 small dogs.
