Ellis Howe is a beautiful detached 18th century cottage set in an enclosed garden with superb views of Coniston Old Man and the surrounding fells.. Ellis Howe enjoys VisitBritain 4 star rating and is equipped to a high standard. It can be a cosy romantic retreat or an excellent base for touring the Lake District.Best Features
The cottage is comfortably furnished for five and retains many of the original features including flagged floors, meat hooks and fireplaces. Double,twin and single bedrooms, family bathroom with bath/WC/washbasin and power shower. Downstairs shower room with WC shower, washbasin. Washing machine and tumble dryer. Wood burning/multifuel stove - smokeless fuel provided.Rointe Smart heaters Ceramic hob/electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave. LCD SmartTV/DVD;CD/radio. FreeView. Range of maps, local interest books and guides, wildlife books, general reading books, games, and DVDs in a cosy 'snug'. Free wi-fi/broadband is available A feature of the house is the conservatory/ dining room, with oak flooring and an attractive gallery, which allows you to dine in comfort whilst enjoying glorious views of Coniston Old Man and the surrounding fells. A terrace area with picnic table/bench and garden seat looks out over open fields to the fells. Coniston Water is a short distance from the cottage through woodlands over Torver Common.
