| Cottage Review:
This is the second year we have stayed at this beautiful location, ideally situated for a visit to Rutland (including Rutland water) and surrounding areas. Grooms' cottage is impeccably well presented and a real home from home. Alistair and Debi really do go the extra mile and are the perfect hosts. They have thought of everything in order to make your stay comfortable from beautiful home made cakes on arrival to a fantastic fully equipped and modern kitchen which is exceptionally well kitted out with quality fittings including a dishwasher. The kitchen also boasts an excellent view from around the large dining table area. The sitting room is very well presented with a large wood burning stove for cosy Autumn evenings, and the two large sofas provide a very welcome and homely comfort after a busy day exploring, again this room has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms and bathroom are immaculately presented with the option of luxury shower or bath, and the two double bedrooms have fantastic countryside views. If you love animals and the countryside you will be delighted with both Stables and Grooms cottage. As regular visitors to Rutland for over 35 years we have now stayed in both properties and look forward to returning ! R. Wills (Durham) |
