Di Wilkins is the perfect host; full of helpful advice and support, even before you set foot into the beautifully restored Barn. There is plenty of space, with a large and superbly equipped kitchen. It was the focal point of our weekend and allowed us to prepare a 5-course dinner for 12 with relative ease. The dining room is larger than the photos convey and all the bedrooms are comfy.

The gamesroom is excellent fun (darts, pool, table tennis, skittles and table football; we could've spent longer in here. The surrounding area is tranquil and ideal for gentle walks.

In sum, worth the 3-4 hour from London to get away from it all. Stay here if you feel like some pampering in a gorgeous Barn, supported excellently by Di.

Make up of party:  12 friends for a long weekend of good wine and food, with lots of laughter. Fletchers Combe is perfect for this, to unwind and get away from a busy week.

Stayed in both properties here, very isolated but ideal for our group of stags. Games room, barbi and outside gardens were used to the max. Very well equipped kitchen in the barns meant we were able to eat together in one place , only using bedrooms in farm house. Torquay was our Saturday night venue only a 40 minute taxi ride away. Happy cabbies of totnes. This was my second time here, first being my wife\\\\\\\'s 50th birthday weekend , equally suitable for older age group in a more relaxing way. Space, comfort , high speck with plenty on your door step to explore. Both groups of people who I\\\\\\\'ve been down with were very impressed. Simon the owner was always very helpful.

We booked this property for a reunion with friends and it was perfect.

Lots of space and fantastic for the children. They spent the whole weekend outside in the beautiful grounds and play areas.

We went on walks from the property suitable for us all, with lovely beaches not far away.

It is very secluded so we could make as much noise as we liked.

Simon Harrington who runs the property was very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.

We will definately be returning.

We stayed here for a long weekend in Feb and had a fantastic time. The Barn was as it had been described and was well equipped to take a large mixed group of 8 adults and 9 children. There are great communal spaces including the kitchen diner and the lounge and I must say Simon (the owner) was absolutely great! Everything is there for you from linen, travel cots, baby-coms, mountain bikes, giant flat screen tv in lounge and much more. There are loads of things to do around fletchers combe from Woodlands Adventure park (6 miles) to the pretty seaside villages of Dartmouth and Salcombe. We had a leisurely drive down from Bristol which took us just under two hours. Will definitely return and recommend to others...

We had a lovely holiday here in late may for our parents ruby wedding anniversary.

The barn is very well equipped with good attention to detail and very comfortable. The kids loved the play barn, garden and treehouse and there were ample grounds to walk our dog over the surrounding fields and lanes.

Simon the owner was very attentive and stopped by to check we were ok.

Just one point to note for future guests. There are small flights of steps inside the property between the kitchen and lounge areas. My 90 year old grandmother coped ok but just be aware in case you have someone with mobility constraints.

Overall a lovely barn in a lovely location.

We stayed here for my husbands 50th birthday for a weekend and had a wonderful time despite the weather's best attempts! The cottage is extremely well equipped with lots of extras and homely touches and Simon was extremely helpful if every way. We employed Sarah Pope to cook us a meal on Saturday evening at the house and she did an amazing job making it a very special evening. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

If you are looking for a rural, peaceful and well equipped cottage/barn in Devon, then look no further. After tackling very narrow country lanes you will find yourself in a very tranquil setting. Our extended family (11 of us, from 9mths+ to 59!) all enjoyed the comfortable accommodation and leave with some happy memories. First class facilities for all including baby monitor, stair gates and high chair. Loved the stream and garden and we had fantastic weather. The bikes were well used but some of the outdoor games areas could be updated a little (minor grumble only).

All in all, highly recommended. The property is old, but very well maintained.

Property was beautiful and immaculate, facilities insite was great. Roads to barn were very narrow and difficult to navigate. One room in the house was a little too bright and noisy. Apart from some minor negitaves this holiday home was wonderful i would highly reccomend it

We have stayed at Fletchers Combe Barns 5 times now and cannot commend it highly enough. This stunning property not only has the wow factor but is incredibly comfortable and luxurious. The location is very rural (grass growing in the middle of the road!) and there are some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. Despite the quiet location it is only 15 minutes from Totnes and only 30 from Dartmouth. We recommend doing the Round Robin which involves taking a ferry from Totnes to Dartmouth then a steam train to Paignton and an open top bus back to Totnes. Great way to spend a day.

Cottage Review: This was my second visit to Fletchers Coombe barn.
We hired FC for my middle daughters ‘Hen Weekend’ 14 ladies aged 26 - 63 + 1 Saturday visitor. We used the games room for yoga sessions. The lounge was a perfect dance floor, (we took our own disco light) plus it accommodated al l15 of us for our ‘life drawing’ session.
The hot tub was very much enjoyed by everyone!
Our guests were all very much taken with the barn especially the decor and the extra little surprises the owners left for us!’
Thank you FC for a great weekend - we will be back!

Cottage Review: An excellent place to stay for a family gathering, the hosts were good throughout , making sure you had everything you needed.
I would highly recommend , the only slight improvement would be . . The games room requires a bit of renovation to bring in line with the rest of the property .

Cottage Review: As a big family we hired the barn for the second year in a row for our New Year celebrations, an ideal location for getting together without worrying of upsetting the neighbours. The barn is situated close to Tontnes, Paignton and Torquay so days out are easily planned. New Years day we spent on a ramble across the farm land, refreshing walk which we all enjoyed clearing the heads!
James and Sarah are brilliant nothing is too much for them and they are always on hand should you need them. The natural spring water fed into the house tastes amazing.

We will definitely be booking again !

Cottage Review: Second visit to Fletchers Combe a again we had a great time
Beautiful peaceful place and a real treat to be in the middle of nowhere in beautiful country side.
Always fun when you meet another vehicle in the narrow lanes
The accommodation has pretty much everything you need to entertain and have a fun stay. Hot tub is well kept and maintained (a little to hot for our liking)
Beautiful walks across the fields with plenty of company from the cows

Cottage Review: Fantastic barn with loads of space ,we had a late check out which was much appreciated

What a fantastic space there were 12 people and a dog and we have had the most amazing time.
We did think we might bbq but on lifting the lid there are some mouldy sausages! Might need a clean. Cushions for the outdoor furniture would be good and some massive cobwebs in the eves in the kitchen and living area!

Overall a fantastic family weekend will definitely be returning and would recommend to anybody

Cottage Review: The barn was absolutely wonderful - clean and comfortable (our bed was super comfortable!) the hosts have thought of absolutely everything, the kitchen had every utensil you could think of, even tea/coffee/toiletries provided as well as a gorgeous hamper of treats on arrival and a basket full of doggy essentials (the dog shampoo came in handy!) the barn completely met all of our needs, so much so that we didn’t venture out at all on one of the days and spent the whole day and night at the barn enjoying the beautiful garden and hot tub. The barn also have a very good barbecue which we used 3 out of 3 nights that we stayed. We felt that our stay was good value for money and since arriving home and posting our pics on our social media we have had lots of queries from friends :) I only scored a 4 for location as a personal preference as the barn is in a stunning rural location but if you are a nervous driver, the lanes to get there are very narrow and windy and there was nothing anywhere nearby without having to drive there (eg pub, shop) but as long as you take your provisions, the place is so lovely you’d be happy to not leave there all weekend anyway! :) 100% recommend!

Cottage Review: As a family we were 14 with ages from 20 to 80 and to celebrate the ages of the eldest two we rented this lovely barn in the middle of nowhere deep in farmland outside Totnes. It easily accommodated all 14 in seven bedrooms with lots of ensuites - although we did not have a bath in ours which was a pity. It is big and takes some getting used to in terms of where all the rooms are and how to reach them. It was very clean, in great condition and everything worked. There is a free EV charge point too.
The hosts were super and nothing was too much trouble both before we got there via email and when we arrived. The whole trip was so good for all the younger ones that they all want to come back next September and repeat it - visiting Salcombe, Brixham, Dartmouth etc.
All told a most excellent four days or so in good weather and wonderful surroundings - with three dogs too.

Cottage Review: A very enjoyable stay. James and Sarah were very accommodating and attentive hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen had everything you would need and there was a bbq you could use as well. Great hot tub!! Quite a lot of stairs both inside and out to the garden so this should be considered for the less mobile. Very pet friendly but also note a lot of stairs if your dog is elderly/blind like ours. Would definitely come again.

Cottage Review: The barn was just perfect! Everything we needed was there and it was so big and spacious. Ideal place for a large group and dogs. Our dogs loved their walks around all of the fields and lots of options for off lead walks where they could just run. The dog packs were such a lovely and thoughtful touch.

Sarah and James were so helpful throughout and replied to emails quickly and did everything they could to make our stay great. They were very welcoming and accommodating.

The bbq was brilliant along with the fire pit and we had lovely evenings sat outside.

The bedrooms were perfect for a large group, all big comfy beds and lots of bathrooms.

We will definitely be visiting again and recommending. Thank you so much!
