We have enjoyed many wonderful weekend breaks and full holidays in Woodpecker cottage. It is very clean, functional and well 'kitted out' (TV, DVD, microwave, oven, washing machine etc) whilst retaining it's natural character and country feel. Most of all it is a lovely feeling to escape from work and enjoy a country break at a very good price. As a bit of advice they do a lot of special offers, so get in contact to get yourself a good deal. It's well located for access to the North Yorkshire Moors, or the east coast (Scarborough, Filey, Whitby etc). It's open all year and a nice touch for us is that it is non-smoking. We'll be booking again soon, we love it here!

This was my 3rd visit to Dovecote, being a wheelchair user, I need easy access.This you get on ground floor .Entry to bedroom on grd floor,has easily managed ramp path(low); where there is a safe non slip toilet and shower room, seat for shower,and room for a wheelchair too.
Tho a chair would need to be folded to get past end of bed.not a problem tho as room to transfer.A ramp with hand rail accesses main cottage.Spacious lounge ,dining rm and kitchen, all easy to use from wheelchair, cooker,microwave,fridge/freezer etc.I found I could cook easily for 6 with no problems.
Outside patio is easy to access and is ramped oneside,leading to a car parking area. magnificent views. I look forward to many more visits, and June and Allan will do utmost to cater for your needs. is clean, comfortable and a home from home.
Clean and fresh bedlinen & towels,A TV in bedromon grd floor for those needing a rest away from main cottage.

This is such an excellent cottage in wonderfull quiet sea side town everything you would need is inside the cottage or very near it with the shops being only 2 mins walk away and the beach also within only a few mins walk.
The cottage has a large satellite TV and wifi that is free with the booking so that kept the kids happy in the evenings not to mention the luxorious furnishings in the cottage they were some of the best sofas ive ever sat on.
All in all this is one of the best cottages ive ever stayed in and the modern kitchen/dining area was EXCELLENT.
Thankyou for making our stay so lovely we will be sure to come again!
