We wanted a holiday cottage not too far from Hereford, (only 10 minutes away by car) and found Anvil Cottage in The Grafton Villa Farm on the Ross road. What a wonderful place to stay, Bill & Jennie Layton the owners, could not have been better hosts. So friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble; we were treated not just like paying guests, but as friends. The cottage was perfect, two large bedrooms, a good sized sitting/dining area and a very good set up kitchen. A bathroom with shower/wc and a separate shower/wc room, something very unusual in an English two bedroom cottage where you normally only get one bathroom. The gardens surrounding the cottage were immaculate and lovely, covered with lawn and flowers and the view from the cottage wonderful! We could go on and on, suffice to say we would recommend Anvil cottage to everyone wanting the best of a country holiday cottage but near to all the facilities and activities of a great city like Hereford.
