4 Wye Rapids Cottages, Symonds Yat, Herefordshire, HR9 6BL

I booked this through Sykes for my 50th birthday, expecting a relaxing weekend away. We knew we would be arriving in the dark which we informed the owner of. I also wrote to the owners (twice) initially asking for a recommendation for somewhere to eat and then later after we spent two hours in the dark trying to find the cottage. I still have had no reply to either email! Clearly owners have their money and not interested in the people. I have never had zero contact from owners on any booking, shocking!

The postcode took us the wrong side of the river throug

We spend a week at this wonderful cottage on the hills bordering the River Wye with our two young boys (aged 2 and 6). The cottage was very well presented and had everything we needed as a base for our week away. The communal gardens outside the cottage were beautifully maintained which was ideal for family picnics and the boys also had plenty of space to run around and play; during the week we stayed we pretty much had this space to ourselves. The cottage itself is clean, well resourced and comfortable. It has a small courtyard at the back with a table and chairs and bbq. The shared gardens at the front of the property are beautifully well maintained and picturesque. The bedrooms are both a good size with built in wardrobes. Plenty of space for a family of 4/5 (with an air bed in the front bedroom).
