Set in a lovely quiet part of town "The Poppies" is very comfortable and beautifully furnished with "Top Quality" fittings!
It is centrally located just a five minute walk to the famous Buxton Opera House and University of Derby campus plus all the shops and restaurants Buxton offers.
We recently stayed at the "Poppies for two weeks whilst on holiday from Australia and would certainly recommend it ! So much so we will be returning again next year.
Thank you Alison for making our stay a memorable one.

This was our third stay in Dove Cottage at Churchdale Farm. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Waiting for us on arrival was a much appreciated Bakewell Pudding. It's in a quiet location, and convenient for exploring this part of the Peak District. There is plentiful information on places to visit as well as pubs and restaurants. For walkers, the Monsal Trail is just a 5 minute stroll down the driveway.

We were a party of 14 made up of 7 couples and rented the stables across the cobbled courtyard as well. Both properties are fully furnished with everything you could want right down to the dishwasher. The properties were spotless and every care had been taken to make our stay memorable. We all ate around the barn table in the evenings which seats 16 and relaxed in the large living room which was excellent for socializing. The games room is an absolute bonus with darts, pool tabel, table tennis table and football table not to mention stacks of videos, CD's and books to keep you occupied. Above the games room is a play area for children.
We all enjoyed our stay that much that we are going to book it again for next year.

We had a great weekend here. The cottage was lovely, tastefully furnished, well equipped and well located for visiting the area. We were welcomed on arrival by the owner. We had ordered some food in advance and it was there ready for us. The alpacas were an added attraction!
