Description of the cottage holiday
Walnut Cottage, was constructed by the second owner of the present house (James Bradbridge who acquired The Kingston Estate in 1786), and was built in order to add further staff and kitchen accommodation for the house. With it's slate kitchen floor, original ceiling hooks for hanging hams and dried herbs, spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove in the fireplace Walnut Cottage makes a cosy ideal home for up to six persons. Walnut has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, all superbly comfortable and well equipped. The sitting room is light-filled and comfortable with twin sofas, winged chairs and extendible dining table and chairs. French doors open directly onto the terrace with the garden beyond. Surrounding the cobbled North Courtyard lie the estate cottages which have been created from the restored period outbuildings at Kingston. The cottages at Kingston provide the very highest standard self-catering accommodation and have been awarded an English Tourist Board rating of five stars.Best Features
The Kingston Estate is situated in the tranquil surroundings of the South Devon countryside. Just a 15 minute drive from the historic towns of Totnes and Ashburton, with the fabulous beaches at Blackpool Sands and Slapton 20 minutes away.
Kingston now offers the following: Indoor Exercise Pool; Hot tub; Sauna; Mini-Gym with rowing machine, cross trainer and exercise bicycle; snooker table (use restricted to adults only)
