Description of the holiday cottage
The Yoke in Tedburn St Mary is a one bedroom dog friendly holiday cottage that sleeps 2. The Yoke holiday cottage in Tedburn St Mary is half a mile from Tedburn St Mary and handy for the A30 (direct to Exeter and to Cornwall), a private drive leads to two stylish cottages newly converted from a 16th cent. long barn which once stabled heavy horses, next door to the owners farmhouse. Good-sized shared lawned garden (tables/chairs) and The Yoke cottage has its own patio (table/chairs).
Inside The Yoke in Tedburn St Mary, the original character has been carefully preserved with oak beams and sloping ceilings. The cottages have an interconnecting door (lockable), so work especially well when booked together. Comfortable cottages in a good central location.The Yoke (arrow 2): From the garden, stable doors to smart open-plan living/dining/fitted kitchen (washer-drier, microwave) with oak floor, living flame electric fire, TV/DVD (and the interconnecting door).
Steep, narrow stairs wind up to a large double bedroom with sweeping views over fields; bathroom (suite plus bath-shower).

| Cottage Review:
Terrible. Thin walls. Next door let feels right on top of you. Noisy awakenings at 6.30 am. Banging, constant floor noise, screaming children, leaking bathroom (into kitchen), garden a swamp, treacherous slippery cobbles, very little tea/coffee. Tiny fridge. Fast winding road to village so no walking or pub/restaurant available without car. Avoid. |
