Fabulous concept in a beautiful remote location. This property was sadly let down by substandard bed linen with the wrong size of duvet for the bed, hard and random towels and scrappy gowns one with one belt missing. The hot tub was leaking and half covered by a tarp rather than the proper lid so that it was never quite the 'hot' experience that it should be as you had to keep adding more water. Some of the items provided in the kitchen were dirty and unpleasant and the wood supplied to us was chopped up old furniture rather than properly seasoned logs so it didn't give off proper heat. The wood burner had not been cleaned out before we arrived. The wifi was not working and had not been working before we arrived (previous review). It took 5 days for them to get this resolved. It was a really beautiful place to walk dogs from and we would have loved to return here but it really wasn't okay on the basics and poor value for money. On the first day we went out and bought bed linen and kitchen utensils so that we could feel comfortable. The owners were away and the person left in charge, whilst a lovely person, was unable to resolve our issues quickly. Very disappointing.

A lovely secluded spot, well appointed and comfortable with quirky yet tasteful furnishings. Thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome from our hosts, the attention to detail including some lovely goodies and treats for us and the dogs, and the use of a wonderful hot tub without having to do the work to light it! Highly recommended and will be back.

The Tin Barn is quirky beautiful retreat in the rolling hills on outskirts of the forest of Dean. The accommodation is spacious and prefect for two with a large lounge area and kitchen. The bedroom has the wow factor with a four posted bed and en suite roll top bath. Then there is the fantastic wood fired hot tub with views to die for. Lit everyday by the hosts and they ask you how you want it.

There are lovely little touches such as the dvd, puzzles and welcome hamper.

The location is wonderful, just a short drive from Gloucester with its Catherdal and Qu

Jane & Lee were excellent hosts and they emphasized NOT to hesitate about asking them for anything .. However small or big it may seem .. THEY ARE THERE SO YOU CAN GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR STAY from picking up extra shopping for u from town, to more candles & lighters, firelighters for the log burner, picking up a local yummy takeaway, extra kitchen equipment needed not already there, to knowledge on local walks & most importantly what the goats favourite biscuits are!! The goats are a rescue Mum & Daughter and will gently eat rich tea/ digestive biscuits

Our stay at the Tin Barn was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Lee even helped carry our shopping in. The trip was a present from my partner for my 50th. She couldn?t have booked anywhere more romantic. Lee and Jane have created a little piece of heaven here. The Tin Barn was a real home from home. They?ve thought of everything you might need and provided it. The welcome hamper was a really lovely gesture and crammed with gorgeous goodies. This has definitely got to be one of the best places we?ve ever s

I booked this accommodation just for its quirkiness, before I had even read a review! Then I read the reviews and you can believe them all. This place is out of this world. The view and scenery are outstanding. Being able to just sit and listen to the sheep baaing and the birds singing whilst sitting in the hot tub was so tranquil and relaxing. My husband and I loved every minute of our stay and would love to come back. The Tin Barn itself is tastefully and beautifully decorated and equipped well. Lee and Jane are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too mu

Our stay at the Tin Barn was simply magical, couldn't have asked for more in such an enchanting hideaway. Our hosts Ray, Jane and Lee were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day, immersing ourselves in the gentle sounds of nature surrounded by the forest and hills,we thoroughly enjoyed our walks each day, it was great for our golden retriever as well who had a great time with the resident dogs Bear and Bud, we highly recommend the Tin Barn if your looking for a beautiful, undisturbed relaxing getaway. We will d

We stayed at the tin barn for the weekend, and what can I say? The most magical weekend! What a place, every thing was top notch. The hot tube was amazing and the barn it?s self was so cosy. What more can you ask for a romantic weekend away. The log fire was a special touch, and there was always plenty of wood. The beautiful four poster bed was like something from a movie scene and I had the best nights sleep I?ve ever had. The scenery and the surrounding area is breathtaking. Leigh and Jane were the most fantastic hosts, they go out of there way to do anything for you. Nothing was too much and so much effort and thought went into everything. I think I will make this a regular get away spot and can?t wait for my next visit.
