The Stone Barn Cottage in Holne on Dartmoor is a 3 bedroom traditional Dartmoor stone holiday cottage that sleeps 6 people. The Stone Barn Cottage is set on the edge of Holne, attached to the owners home, a comfortable upside down cottage created from one end of a barn. Enclosed, level lawned garden (table/chairs) beyond the cottage with lovely rural and moorland views.

The Stone Barn Cottage on Dartmoor has a door and 5 wooden steps from the garden straight into very well thought out open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer) with woodburner, TV/DVD, painted beams to apex, wood floors. Stairs (stairgates) down to three bedrooms including a double with en suite bathroom (suite, shower over bath, washer-drier in cupboard), another pretty double (footboard), and a twin with en suite shower-room (suite); smart shower-room (suite).

A really well considered and very welcoming base from which to explore both Dartmoor and the South Hams.

We had a lovely stay. The barn had everything needed for 3 generations including a baby and a dog to stay comfortably for a week. The village is peaceful and the community shop and tea room are very good. The village pub was closed but there was one within walking distance that welcomed dogs and did excellent food, the steep walk back was certainly good exercise!

The barn itself was ideal with a lovely open plan living area and pleasant garden. It was an excellent base for getting to all the places that we wanted to visit. The owners and their dog were very

Our little group of 6 really enjoyed this visit (third time for some!) With 3 bedrooms and 3 toilets (1 with bath, 2 with showers) downstairs and a communal kitchen/dining/living room with 2 sofas and a log burner upstairs privacy is always assured. The owners live next door and are very accommodating but not at all obtrusive. The property has been well maintained and is always pre-stocked prior to arrival! There is a friendly pub just yards away and a good village shop for the necessaries. Ideal for walking or short drives through the moors. One SLIGHT neg

6 adults were very comfortable in the Stone Barn. Great setting for exploring the moors, nearby towns and local pubs. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking with good table space for eating and playing games. The owners next door were friendly and gave some good advice on places to visit. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We stayed at The Stone Barn Cottage in June 2014. Holne is a hamlet towards the south of Dartmoor National Park, about 10-15 minutes? drive from the main A38 road, so fairly convenient to explore the beautiful national park, where we found some lovely picturesque walks in the undulating moorland. Holne has a pub and shop/tea room within a few minutes? walk from the barn. The converted barn is really semidetached with the owners and their very friendly dog living next door; they are a very pleasant and helpful couple who keep the cottage and the large gard
