The Music Room is situated a mile from Aveton Gifford, 300 yards down a tree-lined track off a lane, three very special places to stay within handsome former farm buildings: an airy converted barn, a barn converted into a gallery (overlooking meadows and a remarkable Grade II listed former music room.

A large, pretty, enclosed suntrap courtyard with fountain and flowers is shared with the friendly owners. Just outside the courtyard at The Music Room, a lawned walled garden (also enclosed) with camellias, fig and walnut trees, leading to another captivating garden with pond (unfenced) and 6 grassy acres with big wildlife pond (fenced), benches (terrific long views) and big trees to sit under, inviting you to rest, read or just enjoy the silence and let your mind wander (children should be supervised).

 A peaceful, curative oasis, good for taking it easy. The Music Room is magnificent: detached, huge and incredibly romantic, once home to concerts and recitals, brilliantly converted. Three steps up into open-plan living/dining/kitchen (46' x 19') with vaulted stucco ceiling, four massive arched windows with stained glass border the length of the room generating light and colour, wood floor (rugs), woodburner, TV/DVD home cinema projector with surround sound, piano, iPod dock; smart fitted kitchen area (slimline dishwasher, microwave, cooker with induction hob, espresso coffee maker); step up to bathroom (suite with 4' bath with shower over).

The bedroom is the stage (3 steps up) with 5' four-poster bed, stunningly presented and lit. No children, except pre-crawling babies. A stunning and extraordinary place to escape to, any time.
