The cottage was amazing, everything you could want on a relaxing break and more. It was exceptionally clean and smelled really fresh, you would never guess there had been any pets there. The welcome pack and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. A nice big TV with Netflix for cosy nights. There was a surprise in the cupboard under the sink, a brilliant electric ice cube maker, perfect for your gin and tonic! Everything you possibly need in the kitchen for self catering. Gorgeous large bathroom with walk in shower, my husband has mobility issues so maybe a non slip mat for use in the shower, this is just a suggestion and did not detract from our stay. The hot tub with mood lighting was amazing especially on a chilly night, a real treat. Paul the host was very welcoming and on hand if needed (we didn't)). The booking site doesn't mention that there is a quality hairdryer and also iron and ironing board-worth knowing though when you are packing to go. Just the sound of birds, sheep and the occasional tractor absolute bliss. Nice comfy bed and all the fixtures and fittings are very high quality and unique. Lots of places to visit nearby, we visited The Plough for an evening meal, the food was so good. We visited Scarborough and Whitby, lovely days out but parking in both places proved a bit of a challenge. We are looking forward to returning to the cottage and would wholeheartedly recommend you visit.

We were looking for a dog friendly place where we could explore the Yorkshire coast.

Swallow's Nest was perfect for us, our Jack Russell and our new puppy.

Facilities were brilliant, dog walking was wonderful and Paul was a great host.

Very comfortable accommodation, more than enough crockery and stuff. The paddock out the back was great for letting the dogs out and the hot tub was an excellent bonus.

We explored Whitby, Flamborough, Brid, Scarborough and also just chilled.

We had such a good time and this really is a great location. In the tranquil country

Just returned from a lovely 3 night break here. Fantastic little cottage and added bonus of a lovely relaxing hot tub. Paul the owner couldnt of done anymore for us. Treats for us and even our little dog when we arrived made us feel very welcome. He even gave us the first 2 eggs his new chickens laid.

Ideally located near whitby, scarborough and other areas.

The cottage itself is immaculate and so cosy. Everything was there we needed. Only thing missing is a long mirror in the bedroom and plug sockets for hair dryer / straighteners ( but I managed) We too

We loved our stay at Swallows nest. The property was spotless and beautifully decorated. It is the perfect place for exploring the East coast and North Yorkshire Moors. The hot tub was a great way to end each day listening to the local wildlife.

We were welcomed by Paul the owner, who showed us around the property. There were lots of goodies left to make us feel very welcome. Daisy loved the dog treats

Paul we are sorry we didn?t leave a message in your visitor book as we didn?t have a pen.

We will definitely visit again in the future.

Would highly recomm

Stayed here last week in August. When we got there it wasn't quite as advertised, no washing machine or dish washer only 1 smart tv these we werent bothered about, disappointed it didn't have the super king sized bed though ( just a double). Clear glass window in front door which looks straight into the bedroom and bathroom so privacy a little compromised. A mirror with a socket nearby would be handy for the ladies and some coat hooks in the hallway. All minor details though because all in all this is a beautiful little cottage done out to a very high standa
