I don't think we could have chosen a nicer cottage. This was our sons first time abroad and as soon as he saw the beauty surrounding the cottage he was off taking pictures. if your looking for quaint and charming with every amenity your could want this is your cottage. All of us fell in love with Ginny, the owners Airedale Terrier. She came to the door for breakfast every morning and just added to the magical atmosphere. Had wonderful days out to Fountains Abbey and so many beauty spots in Yorkshire. I would highly recommend this cottage, it is the quintessential English dream cottage that most Americans dream of. Don't hesitate to book. We are just sad we did not get to know the owners better as they lived on the property,

Clean, well equipped and comfortable throughout. The owners of this property have done all they can to make their guests stay the best it can be.

One grouse that I did have.. and not the owners fault in the least.. was to find the previous user of the washer/dryer had washed their dog's blanket and/or towel in it. My clothes came out covered in short white dog hairs.. and I do mean 'covered'. Not best pleased with that and said so in the visitors book as a reminder to any future holiday makers who may be rather short on consideration and respect for others

The cottage fulfilled our expectations.Peace and tranquility .All you required was there.We had 3 log fires whilst there.Owners were great.Biscuits and tea or coffee await you.The Bryerstone Inn down the road for good food.

We spent a wonderful quiet week at Swallow Cottage, with our two small dogs who were welcomed enthusiastically by the owners dog "Ginnie", We could not have asked for a more lovely place to stay, with the wood burner a treat on the cold evenings after our long walks along the Cleveland Way.
