We were in need of a short break without driving miles and for us, this bungalow was perfect, ticked all boxes before we set off. But it was even nicer to arrive and be impressed with the owner's taste, care, cleanliness, and quality of all that the cottage space provided. We are holiday cottage owners ourselves and found this owner really cared for the guest experience. We have no hesitation in giving it 5* and recommending to friends and family. The area is super too! Goathland village itself is busy, but we took clifftop walks from Runswick Bay to Staith |

Stayed at Stonecroft for 2nights and did not want to leave.This property has been furnished to the highest of standards and was immaculate throughout. The beds were very comfortable and warm, the bathrooms very clean and the shower was powerful. The main living area has ample space and the kitchen has everything you need if you are eating in. I would like to say The wifi connection was brilliant aswell. The surrounding area is stunning and there are plenty of beautiful walks to go on with a few pubs along the way all serving great food. This property took our breath away. I am very picky and I can say this is the nicest ,well thought out property I have stayed in. Which must have cost an absolute fortune .Regarding CCTV mentioned in previous feedback many holiday homes protect their investment and have it.If I owned Stonecroft I would have a guard outside protecting it let alone CCTV monitoring the outside of this fabulous place ,I actually feel better that my belongings and car is being watched over .Cant wait to win the lottery so I can buy it :-) .We would stay here again without a tho |

If you value your privacy then please please please DO NOT BOOK STONECROFT in Darnholme Road Goathland. Within hours of our arrival on Friday the owner Mrs Connie Wiggins had telephoned the management company Sykes Cottages complaining we had a dog at her pet free property. Yes this was very true as the dog was in fact my medical assistance dog Charlie and had already been authorised by Sykes Cottages as he always is when I book on their booking form under assistance dogs which by law are exempt even in pet free accommodation unless clearly stated NO PETS i |
