| Cottage Review:
Arrived from Australian summer (40 degrees plus) at 5pm on a freezing wintery evening. We were delighted when we saw the cottage as it looks delightful and so inviting. Decor is lovely. However when we entered the cottage it was freezing inside and there was no hot water at all. We had travelled a long way and wanted to shower. We tried to contact owners by phone immediately but our calls went to answering service. Luck they live next door because we were waiting for them when they got home later that evening. | Cottage Review:
Prospect Cottage is a lovely cosy and homely cottage. The village is pretty and has everything you could need with a good bus service to Durham and Newcastle within minutes walk form the cottage. Eating out was a pleasure in all the restaurants within the village and the portions were huge!! |

| Cottage Review:
A quaint cottage with all the amenities we needed, however as it slept 6 it would have been nice if there was seating for 6 in the living room. The TV was old and made a funny noise. The 3rd bedroom/seating area was VERY cold and some areas smell of damp slightly although the rest of the house was lovely and warm.We had 2 cars and had difficulty turning so as not to reverse out onto a main road. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. |
