Cottage Review:

The cottage was blissfully comfortable, quiet, relaxing and spotlessly clean. The cottage was stocked with everything we could need for a family of 3 for a week, including washing machine, dishwasher, wi-fi and crockery. The owners live in the cottage next door but are in no way intrusive - they are very friendly and welcoming and are on-tap if anything is needed. It is also a great location - very quiet with fantastic views but with easy access of many family friendly activites. This week we have; visited Beamish Museum (twice), Gibside (National Trust prop

This week we have; visited Beamish Museum (twice), Gibside (National Trust property and gardens), Durham, Newcastle, Druridge Bay (beautiful, clean, quiet beach) and had a boat ride on the Tyne. We have had a wonderful week and will definitely stay at Granary Cottage again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Cottage Review:

By far the best equipped place we have ever stayed. Very friendly owners who will help and advise you if you need it. A great base to explore Couny Durham or further if you choose. My family highly recommends a visit to Beamish Museum and a trip up to Bamburgh castle.

Cottage Review:

We were most impressed with the style and quality of this cottage. It had everything we needed with a large kitchen/diner and beautiful lounge. Lots of leaflets with local attractions and some good reading material The coutryside location was perfect for us with our dog. Lanchester provided a good location for walks with the dog and had all the shops we needed. I would reccommend its use at any time of year.
