Just driving home after a fab stay at Town Farm. The cottage is beautifully appointed and equipped. There are lovely walks in the area and a handy bus service into nearby Barnard Castle. The gardens and hot tub were an added bonus.

What a great week we had at Town Farm, Winston. We are 4 couples and found the space, facilities and accommodation to be the best we have ever experienced.

The owner Paula and her family make the house spotless and so comfortable for your stay, including a welcome basket of goodies.

Although the location is semi-rural the small village of Winston has some very interesting walks from the front- door taking in the local history of the area. It's a 10 minute drive into Barnard Castle (Barney as the locals call it) which provides plenty of amenities for your stay.

We visited Durham and the Cathedral, Raby Hall, the castle at Barney, Beamish the living museum, Kynren (seasonal, but not to be missed if you are there in summer) and Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes on the Yorkshire Coast. And there's lots of other places we could have visited (hopefully next time). Even driving around and stopping in the nearby villages was lovely.

Paula provided lots of advance information and greeted us with even more info and was always available to answer queries.

I promise you will not be disappointed at Town Farm.

What can I say about this beautiful cottage. Of all the cottages we have stayed in this is by far the best.

The best bedrooms. Three of the 5 queen beds split to two single beds. How sensible, all cottages should do that, us girls always have problems getting enough beds as most of us dont like sleeping in the same bed.

4 really top of the range en suites and 1 lush bathroom.

Two large sitting areas plus a garden room.

Top of the range kitchen.

Lovely bi fold doors on kitchen dinner and garden room.

Fab hot tub for 7 people.

Beautiful large patio and garden area and all in a beautiful place, lovely walks and near to lots of lovely places to visit .

Along with fab owner.

We will be back, that's for sure.

Thankyou

Just returned from a wonderful week at Town Farm. The property is absolutely beautiful with everything you need and is spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and lovely bedding. The hot tub is a wonderful addition to the property and was thoroughly used by all of us. Lots of nice touches, phone number of owners supplied in case of emergencies. Beautiful welcome basket, and wonderful hosts. Already booked to return next year! Can't wait!

We booked the accomodation for a belated birthday celebration come family summer holiday and are we so glad we did. The accommodation is outstanding, every single tiny detail has been carefully considered. The quality of the finish is fantastic and the beds are sooooo comfy.

We came as a party of 4 adults and 6 children varying from 3-13 years and the cottage catered for every single person.

The hot tub, the garden, the ride on tractors, the cupboard filled with the contents of Smyths Toys board games aisle, the TV?s that rival a cinema and the kitchen w

Wow! What an amazing holiday let, the best we have ever stayed at. It is difficult to write down everything which made this a most brilliant place to stay but I'll try!. Paula and Stephen are great hosts who thought of everything to ensure we had a great time at Town Farm. Communication before we arrived was fantastic and Paula offered to be there for the online shopping delivery. All the beds were extremely comfortable and were made up to our requirements The kitchen was extremely well equipped - not just the statutory 1 cup, knife fork, plate etc each - s

Booked a family 'get together' weekend to celebrate big sister's birthday; not allowed to say which one. The bedrooms were all outstanding, so no arguments there. The kitchen was 'to-die for' so sharing catering was a pleasure. Sitting in the hot tub on Saturday night was a highlight. The cottage was so fabulous and clean we could barely drag ourselves out to discover the local amenities. However, we did visit the renowned Bowes Museum in nearby Barnard Castle and had a fabulous walk in the beautiful deer park at Raby Castle, Staindrop. Owners extremely h
