Description of the holiday cottage
Owlacombe holiday cottage is half a mile from Slapton, along verdant, wooded hedgerow lanes, two immaculate cottages converted from a dairy and a barn to the main farmhouse, on an 84 acre beef/sheep farm (supervised egg collecting/spring-time lamb feeding welcomed). Carefully tended garden surrounds all, with a little stream (unfenced) running through, connecting with Slapton Ley, and shared lawn beyond. For the reasonably fit, a pleasant lane walk to pub (1⅓ mile, less via footpath/lane, remember torch). B&B available in farmhouse; hearty farmhouse breakfasts and WiFi available in B&B dining room. Spring water. Owlacombe is detached with a little patio (table/chairs) facing over an ornamental pond and gardens. Open-plan living/dining/neat galley kitchen (washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer) with TV/DVD; ground-floor bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Stairs up into a double bedroom with lovely garden/rural views.Sleeps: 2
