Description of the holiday cottage
A fabulous stone built semi-detached house enjoying elevated views in a charming rural village, this spacious and comfortable property offers accommodation for up to five people. This stone built semi-detached house enjoys an elevated position in the village of Sneaton and offers welcoming accommodation. The sitting room is warm and inviting with a dining area, beamed ceiling and an unusual stone corner fireplace with a wood burner, making this a comfortable and relaxing room. The well-fitted kitchen is bright and cheerful and equipped to a good standard. There are two bedrooms, a family room on the ground floor that benefits from an en-suite shower room, and a double bedroom. Both rooms are light and airy and there is a further bathroom that serves the property. Views from outside are stunning and look across to Whitby Abbey and the sea. The lovely rear garden is enclosed and has a barbecue and furniture, making it a relaxing spot to enjoy some al fresco dining.Sleeps: from 0 to 5

| Cottage Review:
We were very disappointed with this property. There is no wash basin in the downstairs bedroom and the toilet cubicle is too small to use if you allow yourself the privacy of closing the doors. We booked this cottage so that my mother (in her eighties) would not have to go upstairs to the bathroom but she had to struggle up and down the stairs to use the sink and toilet. Upstairs the bathroom carpet and wallpaper was stained and shabby and one of the bedroom sockets did not work. There was supposed to be a view from the garden - there may have been once (before the hedge grew!) Would we stay here again? Most certainly not. |
