| Cottage Review:
The Nutshell is in a great location, a very few minutes walk from everything you want, shops, pubs, restaurants, bus and train station and the harbour, yet it's just off the main streets enough to be quiet. The place itself is very comfy, clean and a really imaginative and efficient use of the space. The owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. For a couple or lone traveller you'd have to go some to beat the Nutshell as a base for exploring this lovely and fascinating town. |

Lovely quirky little place in an ideal location. Easy strolling distance to pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The parking permit provided for the duration of our stay was a god send as parking in Whitby can be tricky in busy periods and expensive. The car park was about a 5 to 10 minute walk away which wasn't an issue as you are able to stop outside the property and drop off your bags beforehand and there were plenty of spaces available. This little gem is perfect for getting away from it all whilst being close enough to all the attractions of Whitby. Excellent cafes and just a short walk from the sea and Whitby Museum. Ideal for 1 or 2 people and the bed is so comfy, I slept better than at home! |
