Nutshell is absolutely adorable and beautiful. I like to sit outside, enjoying the wonderful history and fantastic views. I love the design of the bedroom above the living room with the winding staircase. Everything was very clean, the settee couldn't have been any more cosy, the blue throw is so soft. The art and decorations on the walls are very creative and remind you of the seaside, so very relevant. The location is perfect, only a few steps to the station and beach. Everything that you could possibly need to cook with is in the kitchen and the fridge has a handy freezer at the top. I also couldn't rate the host any better. Andy is very kind, caring and always there. I don't think I have slept this much in ages, something about the extra comfortable bed and sea air. Oh and no WIFI, so you can relax fully.

The Nutshell is in a great location, a very few minutes walk from everything you want, shops, pubs, restaurants, bus and train station and the harbour, yet it's just off the main streets enough to be quiet.

The place itself is very comfy, clean and a really imaginative and efficient use of the space. The owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. For a couple or lone traveller you'd have to go some to beat the Nutshell as a base for exploring this lovely and fascinating town.

Lovely quirky little place in an ideal location. Easy strolling distance to pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The parking permit provided for the duration of our stay was a god send as parking in Whitby can be tricky in busy periods and expensive. The car park was about a 5 to 10 minute walk away which wasn't an issue as you are able to stop outside the property and drop off your bags beforehand and there were plenty of spaces available. This little gem is perfect for getting away from it all whilst being close enough to all the attractions of Whitby. Excellent cafes and just a short walk from the sea and Whitby Museum. Ideal for 1 or 2 people and the bed is so comfy, I slept better than at home!
