Description of the cottage holiday
Mill Barn in Woolston is a large holiday cottage that sleeps 14 people in the South Hams in a wonderful location and is a modern holiday home with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Mill Barn on the edge of Woolston hamlet, the largest end of a big barn complex converted with huge flair and experience to create a wonderful, luxurious and well thought out house, just right for families and adults alike.
Mill Barn in the South Hams has an enclosed courtyard complete with table, chairs, a patio and lawned area and games barn complete with table tennis and a half size snooker table. There is an additional play area within an orchard close to the property, great for kids and relaxing in.
Inside Mill Barn near Woolston, there is a large kitchen area that loads on to a dining area and sitting room with beams to apex, large gable-end window, oak floors - everything hugely smart, light and contemporary with woodburner, TV/Sky/DVD/Blu-ray, iPod dock, large dining table and smart, beautiful fitted kitchen area (two dishwashers, microwave, big fridge-freezer with ice maker, electric range-style cooker with induction hob, wine chiller, granite worktops) at one end.
Off this room, two large double bedrooms, one with a six foot bed, TV and en suite bathroom (suite with separate shower), the other with 5 foot bed, TV and en suite shower-room (suite). Small cloakroom (loo).Oak open tread stairs (stairgates) from the centre of the living space down to flagstone-floored hall, door to lane and playroom with TV/DVD, Wii, air hockey/table tennis table and door to courtyard.
There are 4 additional bedrooms at Mill Barn near Woolstonincluding a double with TV and en suite shower-room (suite), a bunk room (3' beds), a twin (linkable to 6 foot double), and a room with four singles (two zip-linkable to 6' double). Smartly fitted shower-room (suite) and bathroom (suite with separate shower). A beautiful barn in a wonderful location of south Devon, with the added benefit of a great games room entered through a small orchard adjacent to the property, the area is very peaceful yet only a couple of miles drive / walk from Salcombe with some lovely estuary walks nearby, the barn really has everything you could need with two kitchens and every kitchen utensil and pots and pans that you would ever require, there is a private outside area with large barbecue and table that comfortably seats 12, the family who own the barn live next door and are most hel |

11 ofus stayed to celebrate an 80th birthday. We ranged in age from 18months to 80yrs with. 2 dogs. Plenty of space for all. Very well equipped.3 dishwasher in the 2 kitchens. Good sized enclosed garden for barbecues and plenty of space to play in the orchard and games barn across the lane. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms well furnished. Very clean. In beautiful country side. Short distance to salcombe. Many great beaches. Would recommend the walk to Gara Rock and bolt head. Hope cove is also worth a visit, lovely beach and good places to eat. w |

What you see is what you get re this property. The photos are true. An excellent place to stay. Your experience: Follow the instructions to the property that are sent to you with the booking as it will avoid you taking some very narrow lanes. Great parking at the property. Loading and unloading outside the property is easy. The property is immaculate and the owners are on hand to help and advise should you need it. The family are very friendly and live next door. | Cottage Review:
Stayed here for a family celebration, 2 families and 2 couples and a widow. So for a mix of people in the family the accommodation was perfect. Plenty big enough that everyone could have their own space. High end conversion of barn with underfloor heating, 2 kitchens and plenty of bathrooms as well. Spotlessly clean included pillows, quilts and mattresses with no ominous stains. The owner was lovely and came to make sure we were settling in OK. I can not recommend this place enough, every single box was ticked, there was nothing that hadn't been thought of |

A beautiful barn in a perfect location, so peaceful and quiet yet 3 miles from Kingsbridge and 3 miles from Salcombe. The barn is a fantastic size for a large family or group of friends. The top floor kitchen area, dining area and lounge area is great place to socialise and yet when in the bedrooms it is quiet and you have your privacy. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever had from pots and pans to tableware and glasses, we never ran out. We will definitely be visiting again. |
