Merchants Rise, set in the heart of the historic town of Dartmouth, is a stylish second floor apartment housed within one of the country’s most important Grade I listed buildings. Lovingly restored to retain many original features, including wood panelling, this beautifully finished apartment melds old with new cleverly, offering modern living and comfort, yet with all the character of this former 17th Century Merchant’s House.
Internally, the property is modern and well-equipped offering a wealth of character with original wood panelling, stunning mullion windows and a character fireplace. The open plan kitchen dining area is a fantastic space with contemporary high gloss units. Unusually for Dartmouth, the apartment even has its own secure garage just 250 metres away, which is suitable for one car.Dartmouth is a pretty town perched on the River Dart offering a wealth of charm and character. The town is full of cobbled streets, stylish boutique shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants serving high quality local produce and sea food in particular.Dartmouth is ideally located for exploring the neighbouring towns and beaches of Torquay, Brixham, Salcombe and the wider South Hams. There is so much to do locally ranging from steam trips on trains and boats to visits to zoos and museums, or you could just take it easy and enjoy the spectacular natural beauty right on your doorstep.
