Description of the self catering
just over mile from Welcombe Mouth beach, surrounded by meadows and woods, is Meadowgate a large, totally secluded detached house belonging to Kirstie Allsopp (and featured in her Channel 4 show 'Kirstie's Homemade Home'). It stands in its own big garden set back from the little-used access lane. Recently (2009) it's been completely renovated, refurbished, brought to life and made into a home. Opposite the front gate is a footpath through National Trust bluebell woods down to the cove beach. Inside, is full of colour, fun and family comfort with wood, slate or tiled floors and underfloor heating. Just about everything has been provided for your comfort/convenience.Sleeps: from 0 to 12

Meadowgate Cottage is beautiful in a remote location wonderful for walks down to Welcombe Mouth cove but within a couple of miles from a superb pub. The house has everything needed for a large party but with room for everyone to find a little quiet space. The beds are sooo comfortable and the baths huge! We fell in love with Meadowgate and will be back! |

| Cottage Review: The house more than lived up to its description. It was very well equipped, warm and cosy, and with plenty of drying facilities. A very spacious and beautifully presented property - very homely. Its location was lovely, and we particularly liked being able to walk to the beach by the footpath. | |||||
