Firstly, the hosts were very organised, sending information a few days ahead of time, very courteous as well offering to buy bread, butter and milk, a nice touch, as well as teas and coffees in the kitchen.

First impressions; very very clean throughout, good quality bedding etc, cute idea having a games room at the front.

Accommodation was great for us; 3 adults and 1 child. Slept really well in the beds, pillow protectors on - I checked, always a good sign!

It's a really quiet cul-de-sac with parking on drive and road, you are very near to the train station and trains run till late and from early morning. It's just the horn you can hear from the diatance, however, nothing some ear plugs didn't fix for the ones in our group that are sensitive to it.

Living room has comfortable seating, enough for 4 people.

Bathrooms; one en suite shower and one standalone with a bath.

Niggles: and that's what they are, just niggles. Something for the owner to consider but I would still recommend you stay here, I would stay again for sure if we come to York again.

- WD40 for the door handles, they squeak a lot!

- Toilet in main bath is noisy, hissing for some time after flushing, and taps seem to be a bit of a DIY job not quite completed

- little shelf or cupboard would help in the bathrooms as there wasn't really room for a wash bag other than the window sill behind the loo.

Nice touches that were provided

- The text asking about which bread and milk we would like, how thoughtful!

- Blankets for if you're cold (not used in Aug)

- Hairdryer

- extra dishwasher tabs

- blinds in the bedroom velux

- very good pillows and duvet

- towels were fluffy and massive!

Location is excellent for York.

Used the park and ride, super convenient.

Would recommend you stay here if you're looking for somewhere near to York that's very clean and comfortable.

Some great cycle routes locally.
