Description of the holiday cottage
From Drewsteignton a long lane leads west, wonderful Dartmoor views from every hill-crest as you go. 1 3/4 miles along it, a tinier lane right takes you in 300 yards to a former farmstead on the side of a beautiful farming valley, and the former threshing barn and stables converted into three very good, very attractive cottages. All good quality, comfortable furniture and pretty d'r/fabrics throughout. On its south side, each cottage has its own enclosed decked patio (picnic table, barbecue); on their other side is the delightful owner's farmhouse, across the gravelled forecourt. No other habitation near. Indoor heated swimming pool (18'6" x 9'5" x 3'9" deep) with counter-current machine, sauna, shower and loos. Games barn (table tennis, 1/2 sized billiard table). Children's fenced, grassed play area. Area for boules. Eight acres of pasture-land to wander (long, beautiful views from it and some upstairs windows); pond (fenced) with call ducks, chickens (complimentary free range eggs usually available), fantail doves about. Stabling for your horse available.

| Cottage Review:
Our second visit and just as welcoming and peaceful as our first. A lovely cottage with everything one could want for a get away from it all break. Charming owner for whom nothing is too much trouble. Having had many cottage holidays this property and surroundings have become our favourite. |
