Description of the holiday cottage
Deep in leafy lanes, 1.5 miles north of Slapton in a sheltered wooded valley, Grade II listed converted stone barns around a courtyard which is flanked on two sides with Virginia creeper and stone walls. 1.5 acres of open ground for you to enjoy with other residents, including lawn, orchard (picnic benches, barbecue), mature trees, well kept shrub-filled borders and large pond with ducks and geese (children are welcome to explore and enjoy, but toddlers must be supervised). Larches is one of three mews cottages situated around their own enclosed courtyard. The three cottages are recently built with a sensitive application of both modern and traditional materials enjoying all the attractive amenities provided for this lovely collection of old cottages nestling deep in the heart of the South Hams. Larches has been built to a high standard with carpeting throughout and fitted with comfortable furniture and furnishings. Gas fired central heating, modern insulation and double glazing ensure this cottage is ideal for off-season use.Best Features

| Cottage Review: Some lovely walks along the coast road at Blackpool and Strete and they are only three and a half miles from the cottage. | |||||

| Cottage Review: Lovely property and grounds. It is rather remote and you have to use the car to get anywhere so would be suitable for walkers or those that don't mind driving everywhere. Very pleasant stay and very well equipped. | |||||

| Cottage Review: Larches was in a very peaceful setting accessible through winding country lanes - sat nav made finding it an absolute doddle. We enjoyed a lovely week in the well-appointed cottage making day trips to several beautiful seaside towns and the Eden project. Our 15 month son especially liked visiting the chickens and ducks in the nearby garden each day. | |||||
