We had a fabulous break in Devon, staying in the Pod. The views really are as good as the videos show and the front porch is an ideal place to curl up with a book - throws/blankets are provided in case it gets chilly. We've done loads of camping but this was our first experience of 'glamping' and it lives up to its name - we'd do it again :-)

As it is off the beaten track some of the roads around are narrow and steep but the Pod is well positioned to get to the main roads and it isn't far to glorious beaches and tourist attractions. We had a week and did lots of things but there was loads more we could have done.

I think it would be helpful if an inventory was available, so people know for instance that the TV has a DVD player attached, that there is a cafetiere, 2 ring hob, and ample cutlery / crockery / saucepans.

Accessibility

The Pod was obviously designed with accessibility in mind. There is easy access in and out onto the porch. The kitchen had everything within reach and the fridge is raised slightly (with wine racks) so it can be reached from the wheelchair. The bathroom has lots of room and grab rails, shower seat etc. I personally could have done with a vertical grab rail somewhere to hold on while standing to adjust clothing. The heated towel rail kept the bathroom lovely and warm and dry once we worked out which switch turned it on and off!

I used a manual wheelchair in the Pod which worked better in the confined space but had to bring the powered chair in for charging and when it was wet and this made the space very tight. A small lean-to or shed would be really helpful for wheelchairs / bicycles and other equipment that guests need to bring.

The parking for the Pod is fairly narrow. We have a WAV and if we reversed in then I could get the wheelchair up and down the ramp easily, but there was not enough room to bring the wheelchair to the passenger door to get in and out of the front of the car.

Covid-19

All fine. The Pod was clean and the owners explain they rotate all the soft furnishings (cushions / throws etc) between guests so they are safe.
