Description of the self catering property
Jacobs Barn holiday cottage is in the centre of Chillaton, tucked away behind the owners farmhouse, a detached, 18th cent. cottage converted from a barn which was once used to store oak bark. Large patio area (table/chairs, unfenced) with fountain featuring the original millstone which crushed the bark, and you are welcome to enjoy the owners 6 acres of fields and streams and grass tennis court.
Jacobs Barn is a spacious farmhouse with a kitchen and dining room including microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a fridge-freezer. Large comfortable living room with open fire and TV/DVD. Games room including table tennis and table football. Loo (washbasin, tumble drier). Upstairs, three bedrooms with beams − a double with country views and en suite bathroom (suite), a twin, and a single with Velux window. Shower-room (suite). A smart family home in a tranquil village location

We can only endorse the lovely remarks that other guests have left. Helen and Chris deserve top marks for so kindly sharing their lovely barn. It is everything we need for a perfect getaway and we are so pleased to have discovered it, so close to our daughter in Tavistock. Our second visit but we will come again. |

| Cottage Review:
What can we say, what a beautiful cottage with amazing fields! The extra little details made all the difference, plus even dog treats left in the welcome basket with scones ect. Hosts we lovely and very accommodating and I will most definitely be staying again, but longer next time. Well worth the money and dog friendly which is a massive bonus. Do not hesitate to book this barn, we did not get to use the grass tennis court but will next time. |

Booked for a long weekend to go to a December wedding. Very welcoming hosts, loved the Cake and Chocolates left for us. A lovely bolt-hole. |
