Description of the cottage holiday
The cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout with neutral walls enhanced by vibrant tones of red on the ground floor to help to create a sense of warmth and cosiness, while pale shades of blue and green produce a clean and calm environment in the bedrooms. Downstairs at Ford Hill there is a large open plan kitchen/living room, which features a lovely wood-burner; there is also a separate dining area and a handy utility room with pantry. The ground floor is a great area for entertaining with comfy chairs in spacious rooms. The kitchen is also very well-equipped with everything you will need for making simple family meals to memorable five course dinners. A steep set of stairs leads to the first floor of the cottage where there are three very good-sized bedrooms, including two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, and a pretty twin. There is also a spacious family bathroom and a sun room with direct access to the rear terrace. The cottage has also recently gained the addition of a games room which is perfect for keeping the kids entertained. Beyond the rear terrace, Ford Hill has a large, beautiful garden with a fantastic old beech tree providing plenty of shade for sunny afternoons.Best Features
Ford Hill Cottage is situated just a few miles from the seaside village of Combe Martin, which has its own pretty beach, good range of shops and a selection of pubs and restaurants. On the outskirts of the village, which lies on the edge of Exmoor are two of North Devon's most loved family attractions, Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin's Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.
