Description of the holiday cottage
Flat 2 is just outside Salcombe, 300 yards up from South Sands beach towards Overbecks and the Coast Path to Bolt Head (both Nat.Trust), an elegant first-floor apartment in a huge Victorian house with the most glorious views of the Salcombe estuary and coastline to Prawle Point. Around the house are well kept gardens for communal use, full of flowering shrubs, mature shady trees and quiet corners. Sixty steps from parking area to apartment; alternative shorter access route begins a little further on from main entrance.Inside, sophisticated simplicity. External door to stairs at Flat 2 in Salcombe to own front door; hall; living/dining room decorated in subtle, gentle colours with wood floor, high ceiling, TV/DVD and French windows to balcony (table/chairs) with gorgeous river and sea views; designer fitted kitchen (slimline dishwasher, microwave, washer-drier, fridge-freezer, cooker with induction hob, granite worktops). Two bedrooms including a double (5 foot four-poster bed) with Italian-style en suite bathroom (suite, shower over bath), and a New England-style twin (TV/DVD) with those lovely views; tiled shower-room (suite). Damages Deposit £150. No children under 6. Flat 2 in Salcombe is a lovely apartment in a stunning location, especially for walkers and nature lovers, a great chill-out place.Sleeps: 4
