Description of the self catering property
Eva's Cottage sleeps 5, with a double room over-looking the bay on the first floor, a twin room near the rear and a single room on the ground floor. Towels and linen are provided. The kitchen has an electric hob, grill, oven, microwave, washing machine and is fully equipped with utensils. The living room opens onto the kitchen and dining area and is warmed by a modern wood burning stove (wood supplied). Those with mobility problems are unlikely to find the cottage suitable since the bathroom, with bath and shower, is up some rather steep stairs.Best Features
What most people go to Gardenstown in search of is the peace that they find there. The harbor is scenic and the coastal walks give beautiful views of the surrounding area. Eva's cottage gives dramatic views of these beautiful surroundings, the front door being just three meters from the sea.
Banff, the closest town is only a few minutes drive away and is home to the popular Duff House; a stately home with its own art collection, and occasionally touring exhibitions from the Scottish National Gallery.
The Glenfiddich Distillery is 40 miles away and the Glen Moray just 45 miles.
The region is also golf friendly, with the Duff House Royal Golf Course, around 10 miles away.
Young children enjoy a trip to Macduff Aquarium where they can watch divers feeding the fish in Scotland's deepest un-closed tank.
