Cottage Review:

When we arrived we met Dave who showed us how to use the woodburner and other bits in the cottage. The views were amazing we had breakfast on the veranda every day as it was so beautiful. We saw Otters in the lock just down the rd. The badger and pine Martin came to say hello every night peanut butter and jam sandwich seems to go down well with them. Just up the rd is a seal colony they lay on the rocks quite happily. With Sky just up the rd theres so much to do. We were there ten days and didnt get to do half as much as we wanted to. Will try to get back there soon. Dave and Linda are amazing ppl so lovely to talk to and looked after us while we were there being at the end of the phone if we needed anything. If your looking for peace and quiet with nature at ur feet with all the comfort you need go here you want be sorry.

Cottage Review:

What can I say,.. what a wonderful little cottage with amazing views. We were met on our arrival by Dave, he showed us how to work the wood burner heating system, and was very helpful showing us around, the cottage was lovely and clean and has everything you need for a self catering holiday, Linda had already contacted me by text to give directions and advised to bring a few food items as the nearest shop was a wee drive away. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and Dave told us about our possible visitors, my kids (age 11 and 14) were very excited in the hope we might see some wildlife. We left out some fruit and bread and true enough on our 1st night we had 3 little field mice and Bobby the Badger!, on our 2nd night Bobby and the mice came back then on our 3rd night they were joined by a Pine Martin and also 2 deer we had at least one visitor every night which was a great treat as none of us had seen these animals up close in the wild before, it was amazing to sit on the veranda and watch them, they were not phased by us at all. Our weather was fantastic we only had one day of rain, and on that evening we sat under our cosy blankets on the veranda listening to the rain thundering off the roof, it was amazing. Dave has done a great job adding the veranda to the property it was well used by us sitting out every night under the stars with a glass of wine a truly relaxing place. The surrounding area has so much to see, we took a walk from the cottage to Caisteal Grugaig (Dun Totaig) Broch , it took us around and hour and what a view from the top, you pass a great tree swing on the way which the kids loved. We spent our evenings skimming stones on Loch Duich with Eilean Donan Castle lit up across the water. We travelled to Skye to visit the Fairy Pools, Having been there years ago it is much more widely known and was a bit of a disappointment to us as it was so busy!! still nice to see if you have never been but parking is expensive at £5 per car unless you park up the hill a bit and walk in which we did. We also visited Plockton which is beautiful with its palm trees and beautiful harbour, we ate at the Plockton Hotel outside due to the Covid restrictions but as long as you've got the right cosy gear on you'll be fine! We also took a drive up to Carr Brae Viewpoint where you can see Druidaig Cottage from across the water, and we walked the Lochalsh Woodland Walks in Balmacara a beautiful walk to the shore and through the sunken garden at the Estate House. I cannot fault Druidaig Cottage or the surrounding area in any way, Dave kept us stocked up with wood for the burner and Linda communicated all we needed to know they were always on hand should we need anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return some time in the future.... thank you Dave and Linda for sharing this beautiful place. Aynsley Scot Rory & Arwen.. Fife

Cottage Review:

Well what can I say we don't want to leave, the cottage is lovely and remote just what we wanted for a peaceful break away and to celebrate a birthday. The cottage has everything you need and you are truly spoilt in Scotland as there are so many beautiful places to see and you don't have to travel hours to see them. If walking is your thing then Scotland is the place to be.

Dave the owner is lovely and is only a phone call away if you need anything.

The cottage is like a home from home and we couldn't have asked for anywhere better to stay. On a winter night

We stayed here in August 2018 - 2 adults, 2 children (aged 3 years, and 3 months) - very remote but beautiful location with everything you'd need in a property, with the possible exception of WiFi for the young children to access games and videos when parents are trying to have a lie in or just need 20 minutes peace and quiet!

Everything else brilliant. Highly recommended, loads to do in the area.

Wildlife visiting the property each evening for feeding was a real highlight.

Cottage Review:

This cottage is built up on a hill overlooking Loch Duich. Sitting on the wrap round veranda taking in the views was absolutely breathtaking. Evening walks along the single track road at the side of the loch with the dog watching seals play in the loch was a daily occurrence. Second to last property in Leterfearn so nice and secluded. Dave the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Red deer come down from the hills at night to eat the grass in front of the cottage, saw pine martins on the veranda. Was going to keep this little gem quiet but that would be

A beautiful cottage in a lovely situation. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and warm. Right opposite Eilean Donan castle with views to the 5 Sisters of Kintail and on 6000 acres of walkable hills. Loved it!
