Description of the holiday cottage
Crookedoak Cottage is one mile from the nearest pub and 5 miles from Holsworthy, set in glorious open gardens within 35 acres of pasture and woodland, a very pretty, semi-detached cottage with 14th cent. origins. Crookedoak Holiday Cottage faces over extensive lawns and a large ornamental pond (unfenced, take care). A gated footpath leads to the woods, swimming lake (children must be supervised) and plenty of opportunity for exploration and fun.Beamed living/dining room with woodburner, TV/DVD/Blu-ray and lovely long garden/woodland views; step up to kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, larder fridge), back lobby with freezer and back door to patio (table/chairs/barbecue). Ground-floor bathroom (suite with separate shower). From the living room at Crookedoak Cottage near Holsworthy, door in ancient oak panelling to steep stairs to two pretty bedrooms a double (5 bed) with en suite loo and gorgeous view, and a twin. Low landing rails. Friendly owners live next door with a wealth of local knowledge. A fantastic place to escape from hustle and bustle with the freedom to roam and enjoy the environment.Sleeps: 4
