Croft Granary, Green Croft, The Green, Stillington, North Yorkshire, YO61 1JX

Used as a base for a 3 day break with my Mum. Beautifully restored building with modern decor but retaining some period features. Located in sleepy little village with a couple of pubs, shop etc within walking distance. Made most welcome by the owners with coffee, milk, biscuits and fresh eggs provided for us on arrival.

Easy 15 min drive to the Rawcliffe park and ride to access York centre or about the same distance from Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall etc all well worth visiting.

All in all a perfect relaxing break... I would recommend to anyone!

Service from Diane and Mike was excellent and nothing seemed too much trouble. They provided us with eggs and a lovely welcome pack. We had 4 adults in our party and had a large double room and a smaller twin room. Although there was only one shower, it coped very well. Location was excellent for touring around and the White Bear and the Indian restaurant were great for meals. We also cooked several nights and there were plenty of glasses, cutlery and crockery and cooking utensils. We would have liked to have stayed longer!

Croft Granary is a perfect base for exploring York and the surrounding areas. The house has all the facilities you need in a cosy atmosphere. More than enough room for 4. It's set in an idyllic village with easy access to the house, and parking for more than 1 car. The owners are polite and friendly, making sure you have everything you need, but leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace. It's also the most space and best facilities we've had for such a reasonable price. There's also ten-pin bowling, a cinema, crazy golf and a large supermarket in close

The property is beautifully restored and maintained, quiet and very warm and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. York, Pickering and beautiful countryside are within easy reach.
