Description of the holiday cottage

Bradbridge Barn is tucked away at the end of a private drive on the edge of Newton Ferrers, 800 yards from the shops/pub and picturesque creek, two attractive, Grade II listed cottages converted from barns on a 16th cent. Bradbridge Barn is on a farmstead, once home to the Bishop of Exeter.

The cottages at Bradbridge Barn are smart and welcoming with a clever combination of original features, high apex beams, wood floors (rugs) and modern comforts, each with own small garden, beautifully planted for privacy by owners who live in the farmhouse next door (no farming now). Across the gravelled entrance drive, shared acre of grassy meadow (mown paths) and children s play area (swings, slide).

Bradbridge Barn is detached and single-storey with a sheltered, tropically planted garden (table/chairs, barbecue) at the side. Ceiling-high glazed doors to spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen with leather sofas, TV/DVD and smallish kitchen neatly tucked in one corner with handcrafted units (slimline dishwasher, microwave, gas oven/hob) and further big glazed doors and 2 steps down to garden. A bedroom at each end of the cottage a double (5 bed, footboard) with en suite bathroom (suite, shower over bath) and French windows to garden, and one with two singles and en suite shower-room (suite). Smart and spacious, conveniently all on one level.
