Well equipped .but literally in middle of nowhere .the reviews looked good and now realise they are over 2 years old .arrived to a funky smell which made me feel quite sick . Husband said bad feet I said raw dog muck . Turns out it's the pillows and one of the sofas . Absolutely stinks of dog muck .

Everywhere was clean . But 1st 2 spoons had what look like dried egg yolk on . Nice touch with the scones though.

Bed was comfy .the shower was lovely hot once you plucked up courage to undress In the very cold bathrooms. We ended up keeping the heating on to make it more bearable .

First night fish and chips arrived cold as 40 minute drive back . 2nd night I couldn't stand the smell so went to exeter to daughters student uni flat for kebab.after stopping at the local pub with 5 noisy dogs and 1 member of staff on bar and he said he was on his own.the 3rd night I couldn't eat here and the weather was bad so just ate fruit the last night I went to South molten for dinner and came home and packed up . Everything of ours now had that putrid raw dog poo smell on . Even the dogs smell of it . This is a shame as they are huge cushions that smell will over power everything .

Loved hearing the cows though .I'm completely off dog friendly air b n b after this . I've always had different the last 6 years but I won't do it again now .

We have just had a fantastic week at Bowbeer farm. The family that own the farm ( Adrian, Jackie and Bradley) are lovely and very friendly and informative on what you can do in the area. Although it is a working farm it is very peaceful and relaxing. The farm dogs where a big hit with our older teenagers together with the little black cat that visited us one evening. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with everything you need. When we arrived there was fresh scones, jam and cream and eggs and milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. We all really enjoyed the holiday and if we come to Devon again, would love to go back to Bowbeer farm and see the great family that run it! P.s. and the dogs of course!!

This is a very comfortable and warm barn conversion sleeping for in comfort. We loved the fact that both bedrooms had en-suites. The open plan living area with logburner and plenty of logs was a wonderful place to relax in the evening after a days walking. Bowbeer Farm is a working farm and the children loved seeing the animals and birds. The owners were super friendly. There are some lovely walks very close by including from Fingle Bridge to Castle Drogo and back along the Hunter?s Path. A great place to stay in stunning countryside.

The location on a working farm and in a lovely area of the Devon countryside really made this holiday for us. The transformation of the barn was amazing and the facilities fully catered for our needs. We had the farm on our doorstep, with chickens and ducks running around the garden with cows, sheep and goats in the nearby fields and the friendly farm dogs ready to welcome us. We really enjoyed the experience and had a thoroughly great time. A big thank you to Adrian, Jackie and Bradley who made us feel at home and were available if we needed anything despit

I can honestly say this is the best place in Dartmoor we have stayed On a working farm!! We are surrounded by animals, dogs, cows, calfs, bulls, sheep, lambs, pigs, ducks, geese hens and more!!! Property is beautiful cream tea on arrival, milk, fresh eggs, owners are friendly and let you walk about the farm and visit all the animals. We are a mile from castle Drogo, we will definitely be back!! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves animals, walking or just wants a quiet week away, although we are on a farm you would not know it as it's so quiet

We are 2 days into a week long stay here but feel confident enough to write this now.

We come to Dartmoor 3 - 4 times a yr either camping, b and b's or cottage let's. We spend 90% of the time out on the moors so want somewhere nice and relaxing to come home to. This has topped the list after 2 days so read into that what you will. We both leave feed back on trip advisor after every trip.

This is a working farm, you need to take that into consideration if booking. There are people wandering about, working from dawn till dusk but in know way are they intrusive

We must have had the hottest week so far - the barn was right in the midst of the comings and goings of a busy farm - very educational! The very friendly farm dogs were a delight and all the other farm animals around us were lovely especially the little family of 3 ducks that entertained us highly! We were greeted with a lovely cream tea on arrival plus milk and freshly laid eggs in the fridge were a nice touch. Had wonderful walks on Dartmoor and even swam in the river on the Fishermans Path to cool off! Had fantastic Sunday carvery for Fathers Day at The Fingle Bridge Inn and closed the week with a scrumptious cream tea at Ullacombe Farm near to Haytor Rocks - Yum-Yum! Will definitely return soon to Bowbeer Farm!
